Tai Chi is a great way to reduce stress, improve mental clarity and slow / prevent the numerous conditions associated with ageing. The perfect exercise to help you recover from injury and to strengthen joints and muscles in a slow, safe manner. 

We will guide you through the principles of Tai Chi and help you each step of the way as you develop your new skills. You will be rewarded with better sleep,  freedom of movement, a more focused mind and happier disposition.  Never stop learning!

We think there is a reason that we are the longest running and most successful Tai Chi school in the Surrey/Hants borders.  We are genuine, transparent, honest and care deeply about our students' success and wellbeing. 

We remain humble. We don't call put ourselves on pedestals by using titles such as grandmaster.  We don't claim to have black belts as, actually, there is no belt system in genuine Tai Chi. We don't use stock images of strangers doing tai chi to fill out our website and make it look like we are popular, we ARE popular :) 

As you look for a Tai Chi class, be careful where you invest your time, your money and most importantly, your trust. because many who pose as Tai chi teachers are not what they claim to be.  Ask questions such as 'who did the teacher do his/her TAI CHI training with / for how long'? (should be 8 years plus) , what qualification do they hold and are they insured? Make sure this info  is TAI CHI specific not yoga, taekwondo or kung fu etc training or qualifications.  These are irrelevant.  Use the internet to check out their answers , can you validate their answers from several  different sources on the internet or do all the Google results come only from that teacher's  own website? Hmmm suspicious...  Do they advertise the cost of their classes, the location / frequency or is this only available via email? Why so secret?  Look for transparency you can trust. 

Our classes are £10 and include access to our online learning video library for as long as you pay for classes in person. Fees are paid via online card payment (which you have to instigate - we don't take direct debits) usually in blocks of about 6 weeks (half termly)

Take your time - there's no hurry, so don't be rushed with 'special offers' such as join now save 50% / get a free uniform etc and never ever sign up to anything for more than a month or two max. (Some places will give you a class or two free then hit you with a 2+year commitment to a monthly direct debit - CAUTION! Stay because you want to, not because you're paying them money.

Cherry's teacher is Wang Hai Jun who lived and trained with his teacher (our lineage holder) Chen Zhenglei from the age of 11 years.

Once satisfied that this is a genuine tai Chi lineage of  esteemed repute, you can then look at Wang Hai Jun's website and see that Cherry is listed under 'contacts' as being a teacher in Surrey and Hampshire, or google. You'll also see pics on WHJ website of Cherry training with Wang Hai Jun at various camps and classes since 2009.
