Once some of the 'choreography' of the form (the WHERE of Tai Chi) is learnt, it is important to delve into the PRINCIPLES (the HOW of Tai Chi).
This should be done with both with the mind and the body, since both the mental understanding and physical experience of what that understanding feels like in the body is the foundation for correct Tai Chi in every movement.
The principles take a long time (years) to understand, to feel and to embody but must not be neglected if you want to develop true Tai Chi.
