Monday and Tuesday Mytchett groups have video access included with their class subscription and will receive the password via email.
All other groups and Zoom participants can purchase one calendar month's video subscription as an add-on at class renewal or later, from the Video Channel page

October-December 2024
Yi Jin Jing is a Qigong-Yoga originating from the Shaolin Temple, used to strengthen the body and make it more supple.
We will work gradually through the set from October to Xmas break, recapping where necessary according to the progress of the group rather than follow a pre-planned timetable

We started this term looking at movements in videos 7 to 12.
from 24/9 we will go back to the start of the sequence and revisit the movements from video 1. If you miss a class , follow along to the videos for the movements we covered most recently in class and the next one or two videos in order.

Most of you have covered the majority of sets that I currently teach, so we will revisit some favourites like the Yang Sheng Gongs and Shi Ba Shi sets and others, as the mood takes us

We begin the Tuesday 6.30 class with 10-15 minutes of mindfulness and meditation. Here is a series of Qigong meditations sometimes used in class

We will probably cover up to 'Star Cluster' in the first week or two and then add another movement or two each week, always recapping on what was previously learnt and correcting any errors.

We often start or finish a class with this short Qigong set which was taught to me by Ben, my first teacher. Ben was unsure of the origins of the set but believed it to come from the Southern Chinese Martial Arts tradition. I just call it 'Ben's Qigong'.
